Founded by Jay and Indya Oakes, Marketing Breakthrough is a consultancy on a mission to help entrepreneurs rediscover freedom in their lives. Be it through the Breakthrough Blueprint, a 12 month roadmap of daily tasks, campaigns, and strategies to achieve your marketing goals, or the Breakthrough Community, an online coaching cohort of like-minded entrepreneurs looking to upgrade the marketing, mechanics, and margin of their corporations.
Through their business and the Marketing Breakthrough podcast, Jay and Indya work to destroy the myth that an entrepreneur has to work 60, 80, or 120 hours a week in order to make their dreams a reality. This husband and wife powerhouse duo have worked together professionally for over a decade and believe that entrepreneurs shouldn’t be stuck… it’s unnecessary, it’s frustrating, and unfortunately, it’s where most end up landing. Where do we start?
Hey, I’m Jay Oakes
An entrepreneur, a husband, a dad, and a life-long rider of bikes.
I’ve been in marketing for over 10 years now and absolutely love being able to contribute to the growth of brands through ideation and consulting. Founding a marketing agency led me to realize that as much fun as it was, there was more impact to be made by helping other entrepreneurs learn to manage their own marketing through coaching or providing their marketing teams with direction and accountability.
I started racing BMX at 6 years old, moved onto riding skateparks, dirt jumps, and mountain biking. After taking a 20 year hiatus, I decided to introduce my kids to racing and never looked back!
Now, I use my knowledge in marketing to serve brands within the bike industry and grow BMX as a sport.
I’m Indya Oakes
With over a decade of marketing experience under my belt, I’ll tell you a secret: I’m a nerd masquerading as a professional! My roots may be in web and graphic design, but now I specialize in building strategies, reverse engineering goals, and creating practical steps for clients to follow. Using this artistic yet strategic perspective to Jay’s ideation and vision is what allows me to work my magic!
I love an adventure, love to travel, and love to experience life. With a husband, two kids, a dog, and a business, you can bet my days are adventurous!
